Financial Statement Analysis Training
Our program teaches you how to read, interpret, and analyse financial statements with confidence. This isn't about theory—it's about building practical skills that work in real business environments.
We run this as a cohort-based course. That means you learn alongside others, ask questions when you need to, and move through material at a pace that actually sticks. Sessions are scheduled for mid-2026, with registration opening in early May.
What You'll Actually Learn
Financial statements can feel overwhelming. Balance sheets, cash flow reports, income statements—they all use different formats and assumptions. And if you're not used to them, it's easy to miss the story they're telling.
This program breaks things down step by step. We start with how financial data is structured and why it matters. Then we move into analysis techniques you can use right away. By the end, you'll know how to spot trends, identify potential issues, and make informed decisions based on what you're seeing.
Real Examples
We use actual financial statements from Australian companies so you can see how theory translates into practice.
Tools That Help
You'll get templates and frameworks that make analysis faster and more consistent across different businesses.
Ask Questions
Small cohorts mean you can get clarification when something doesn't make sense. No question is too basic.
Ongoing Support
Access to course materials continues after the program ends, and we host quarterly review sessions for alumni.
Three Learning Tracks
We've structured the program into three tracks based on where you're starting from. Each one covers the fundamentals, but the pace and depth change depending on your experience level.
Foundation Track
Starts July 2026
For people who are new to financial statements or haven't worked with them in a while. We spend more time on terminology and basic concepts before moving into analysis.
- Understanding financial statement structure
- Reading balance sheets and income statements
- Basic ratio analysis
- Cash flow interpretation
- Common pitfalls to avoid
Intermediate Track
Starts August 2026
You're comfortable with the basics but want to go deeper. This track focuses on comparative analysis, trend identification, and working with more complex financial structures.
- Multi-period comparative analysis
- Industry benchmarking techniques
- Advanced ratio interpretation
- Forecasting based on historical data
- Identifying red flags and opportunities
Advanced Track
Starts September 2026
For those already doing financial analysis who want to refine their approach. We cover complex scenarios, cross-industry comparisons, and strategic decision-making frameworks.
- Consolidation and group structures
- Complex transaction analysis
- Valuation fundamentals
- Risk assessment frameworks
- Strategic financial planning
All tracks run for twelve weeks with live sessions twice weekly. Sessions are recorded, but we recommend attending live when possible since that's when the best discussions happen. Track placement is flexible—if you're not sure which fits, we'll help you figure it out during registration.
Who Teaches This
Our instructors have all worked in financial analysis for years. They know what questions come up because they've asked them themselves. And they know how to explain things without making it more complicated than it needs to be.
Henrik Lindqvist
Lead Instructor
Henrik spent fifteen years working in corporate finance before moving into education. He teaches the Foundation and Intermediate tracks and has a knack for turning confusing concepts into something that makes sense.
Vesna Pavlović
Senior Analyst
Vesna works with mid-sized businesses on financial planning and analysis. She brings real-world case studies into the program and runs the Advanced track sessions where participants tackle complex scenarios.
Callum O'Driscoll
Industry Advisor
Callum consults with small businesses and startups on financial sustainability. He joins sessions to talk about practical application and helps participants think through how analysis informs actual business decisions.
How Sessions Work
Sessions are live and interactive. We cover concepts first, then walk through examples together. You'll see how to apply what you're learning in real time, and there's always room to ask about specific situations you're dealing with.
Between sessions, you'll work on exercises using provided financial statements. These aren't busywork—they're designed to build the muscle memory you need so that analysis becomes second nature.
We keep cohorts small on purpose. That way, instructors can give individual feedback and everyone gets a chance to participate without feeling lost in a crowd.
